Artist Statement
I am a multimedia artist and printmaker, interested in visual narratives that recreate domestic memories of protection, peace, and human connection. I reference family photographs from my childhood, striving to capture the essence of the image in a physical work of art. The printmaking process allows me to slowly reobserve the image through sketching and carving the image onto the plate. The lines that I incise into the plate are done with intention and expression. I want my art to communicate the importance of connections in our lives and remind viewers of the power of a visual story.
